How long do I leave Aloe Vera gel on my face?

I have some stains or scars whatever they’re called left on my face do to some pimples I just put the gel of the Aloe Vera plant that i had in my backyard, how long do i keep it on for and do i have to wash my face afterwards?

1. Wash your face (or take a shower)
2. Open aloe plant, apply aloe vera to face.
3. Go to sleep.
4. Next morning, wash/peel the “mask” off.
5. Put on moisturizer and if needed, sun lotion.
6. Put on makeup, if needed.
7. You’re done.
