If you don’t live near a Walmart store and have access to fresh aloe vera you can also make your own aloe vera water by making your own aloe vera water filter.
An aloe vera water filter is an efficient way to remove the chlorine taste from the water.
Cut a fresh aloe leaf from your plant. New leaves grow from the centre upward so it is best to leave the fresh, young leaves which are located on the top of the plant, and just cut the older, outer leaves.
Remove the gel layer from the leaf making sure to not leave any sap or rind. Wash the aloe gel throughly under running water until it is clear and transparent. If it not remove properly the water will taste bitter. Cut into cubes. Each cube is a rich source of over 200 naturally occurring nutritional substances so you will be getting water plus……
Simply place your of Aloe Vera gel cubes into a large jug of water and put it in the refrigerator. As the liquid is taken out to drink, just top up the jug again.
After several weeks of use, you will need to replace the cubes of Aloe Vera gel and start the process again.

It’s very rare to be allergic to any product produced from the aloe vera plant. If you are you’ll find it’s usually because the sap and outer skin have been included in the offending product.
Like any thing that is consumed or used on the skin there is always potential for and allergic reaction. Here’s a simple test to see if you are allergic to Aloe Vera.
Aloe vera gel is a fantastic general tonic that will support the immune system and improve overall wellbeing and energy levels.
One of my favorite aloe vera uses is detoxing. Aloe Vera is a very powerful detoxifier and detoxing is a good thing. !!
You know when your body is detoxing effienciently because your hair and nails will grow fast. Sometimes when you detox with aloe you may also experience a soft poo or a headache from the aloe detox process because it is such a powerful detoxier.
This doesn’t mean that your hair will grow faster when you start washing hair with aloe vera.
There is no single ingredient that makes Aloe Vera potent but rather the synegistic way all the parts of the aloe work together, just as mother nature intended.

Using Aloe vera juice for detoxification works because it is not a drug – it is not a medicine – and is not intended to replace any drugs or medicine – Aloe Vera works.
There are no lack of testimonials when using aloe vera juice for dextoxification.

Strickly speaking unless you have just cut it off your own plant or purchased a whole aloe leaf from your local supplier or health food shop it will not be 100% aloe.
Unless aloe is stabilized within 20mins it starts to break down or oxidize. Similar to what happens to an apple that you cut and leave out in the air.
Unfortunately this is also an indication that the gel is loosing its healing properties.
I say not 100% because in the stabilization process things are added. The most common process uses vitamin A, C, sorbital and a little heat – usually less than 37 degrees.
This is why I don’t think it is possible to get 100% aloe unless you cut it off you own plant. Perhaps manufacturers are able to get away with it on the label because these additives are in such minute amounts.

What do you think about this labeling question? Sure a chickens lay eggs if a manufacturer says their product is 100% pure aloe gel it will be closely followed by 100% natural.
You be the judge… and please leave a comment below.
The best thing to do is read the ingredients listed. If the first is water, aqua or anything else then that is a sure sign that it is not pure Aloe Vera Gel.
Check to see that the product has been certified by International Aloe Science Council as this is as sure sign that you are buying good quality.

Studies have shown that the astringent properties of the Aloe Vera plant’s gel counteract acne infection and help cure pimples with little or no acne scars occurring.
Aloe Vera has a pH factor similar to that of the skin. The pH of skin varies from pH4 to pH6. Aloe Vera’s natural pH is about 4.3, depending on weather and soil conditions, Read the rest of this entry
