All About Aloe Vera Pictures

The ALOE VERA plant, is a succulent that closely resembles a cactus. Aloe Vera is however, a member of the
Lily Family. There are more than 200 species of Aloe Vera plants, but some are more nutritious and more effective
medicinally than others. You can see the aloe vera leaf is very succulent - the aloe vera leaf gel is 90%
water.

"ALOE VERA BARBADENSIS" is the most potent aloe vera plant.

The Aloe Vera Flower is small on a long slender stem. Here you can view one that is just at the end of
flowering. It is pink / peach in colour. The Aloe Vera doesn't usually flower until it is 4 year old.

The Aloe Vera plant is now quite common in many countries, where it is grown on a commercial scale.
With modern farming methods, and the fact that the Aloe Vera plant matures for harvesting in 4 years means
there's plenty of it to go around. Read about Aloe Vera's natural healing
powers. Aloe vera makes for a great house plant that doesn't need to much tending but has excellent medicinal
